In this video, a big surprise for you!!
As you can see it on my last video, I have brown hair, brown eyes, a blue dress and maybe a lipstick a little too much red! But the message of my precedent video was much bigger than appearances…Last week, we speak about the causes of the suffering according to Buddha, which are:

Are you ready for the surprise?

Hello everyone, today a video a little bit special!

A little surprise to you! Are you ready?

Ok, well, as you can see it on my last video, I have brown hair, brown eyes, a blue dress and maybe a lipstick a little too much red!

But the message of my precedent video was much bigger than appearances…

Last week, we speak about the causes of the suffering according to Buddha, which are:

  • Desire
  • Attachment to self
  • And attachment to permanence in a radically impermanent world.

By trying to maintain our self, we end up repressing change, chaos, and impermanence in an effort to maintain control over a stable self-identity in denial of the reality of constant change. And eventual death.

I think a lot about the self and our attachment to it. And to be a good teacher, I have to improve myself… If I want to experiment the truth, I have to be more detached of my self, and kill little to little the influence of my ego.

So to begin, I decided to experiment a new thing, that is very difficult for a woman… shaving my head. Like you can see my appearance is very different now. There’s a picture before/after!

Don’t worry, I’m not sick. If I decided it to do that, it’s for different kind of reasons.

  • First reason. I want to be a person less superficial and more, a deeper person and when I saw the last video, I said to myself, your ego is still too strong.
  • Second reason. I don’t want to give a shit about what people think of me and of my appearance, I want to be free of their opinions.
  • Third reason. To do an experimentation and see, how people will react about the change of my appearance, would it make me a different person for them? Just by shaving my head?
  • And finally, intensify my focus on meditation and the Eightfold to find freedom.

Clearly is not by shaving my head that will make me find Nirvana… But I think it’s a good start to say to my ego: enough is enough.

For the record, Ego makes you think, 5 things:

1 – You are what you have

You are better than the others because you own a house or an apartment, you have beautiful and expensive car, watches, bags, dresses, suits, shoes, etc. …. Your valuables define you!

 2 – You are what you do/accomplish

Here, the mantra of ego is “You have to win”. If you lose, you are not a very interesting person. Your losses define you. And we don’t like losers! Only winners are valuable people. When you’re playing a game, you must win! At work, you have to be noticed, more than the others. Whatever the consequences, you have to do better, because you deserve better! What you do, accomplish, define you!

3 – You are what others think of you

Your reputation, what others think of you is very important, because their opinions determine who you are. You are a “people-pleasing”, you want to be “normal”, and you don’t show who you really are. The reputation, your reputation is the most important!

4 – You are not connected to others

You are separated from the others. You are different from them. Get on with your life, be selfish, and everything will be alright. You have your family, your friends, the ones you love, the rest doesn’t matter.

With all these beliefs, your ego is keeping you from being connected with your true nature.

You can’t find your true nature, if you think you are what you have, what you do/accomplish, what the others think of you, and you are not connected to others.

For my part, I don’t want anymore live an illusion life! Yes, of course, it will take a lot of time, many many years and maybe when I die I would be living again an illusion, but I want to be more focused on the search for the truth. It’s the true meaning of the word “spirituality”!

By shaving my head it was a declaration of war to my ego!! You’ll not command me in the future… Little by little, I will be free from you!! You are my worst enemy and I will defeat you!!

By this experience, I want to change my life and perhaps even motivate you to action too! Of course, not shaving your head! It’s my personal challenge, it’s not yours! It’s not the message here! But, take your courage to do something meaningful for you! Something, you don’t have the courage now, but you know, for your own good, you have to do this!

Be brave, be yourself! Don’t let others make the rules for you! You are the only captain of your soul!!

Say with me: I’m not your bitch, I’m free!!

Yes!!
